Not legal advice
Heulex is an AI-powered risk analysis tool. Nothing produced by Heulex constitutes legal advice. No solicitor-client relationship is created between you and Heulex by using this service or reading a report.
If you have concerns about the terms of your tenancy agreement, you should seek advice from a qualified solicitor. Free advice is also available from Shelter England and Citizens Advice.
Scope
Heulex analyses Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreements governed by the law of England only. We do not assess agreements under Welsh, Scottish, or Northern Irish law, or any agreement that is not a residential AST.
Using Heulex to assess an agreement outside this scope may produce unreliable or misleading results.
AI accuracy
Reports are generated by an AI model evaluated against defined legal criteria. The model has been validated against real tenancy agreements, but AI assessments are not infallible. A report may miss clauses, misinterpret language, or fail to identify risks in unusual or poorly drafted agreements.
Heulex reports should be treated as a structured starting point for your own review, not as a comprehensive or definitive assessment of your agreement.
Currency of legal criteria
The criteria used by Heulex reflect the law as it stood at the time of the last criteria review. Housing legislation in England changes over time, in particular under the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 and preceding reforms. You should confirm the current legal position with a qualified solicitor before taking any action based on a Heulex report.
No liability
Heulex accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on a report. This includes, without limitation, any decision to sign, not sign, negotiate, or challenge a tenancy agreement.
